At first, Walmart's new line of (Overpowered Brand) gaming PCs seemed like a great deal. They seemed to have nice specs at really competitive prices. However, the corners that Walmart cut to maximize profit in these computers are unforgivable and deal breaking. Subscribe to ReviewTechUSA for more awesome content.

I'll have to disagree on the wires point. Blatantly routing those wires across the graphics card of all things? Tacky is the nice word. Retarded is more accurate. It is perfectly possible to make that card sit perfectly for removal/replacement without that nonsense. I would imagine a gaming PC would be built to know that. It's perfect grounds for me to say, nah, Walmart does not know jack about what to do with the PSU. It seems evident to me they either went so cheaply that they didn't give a damn or literally do not know what they are doing with gaming.

It's a Great Value PC, you shouldn't expect quality. But the problem lies, like you said, with the people who dont have the knowledge to go through everything inside when they just want a computer that can play games.

Okay but like, at $600 for the entry level laptop now, I honestly think it's a steal. Sure you only get a 1050 but everything else in the laptop screams the perfect college student laptop. Productivity. Light Gaming. Mechanical Switches. 144hz screen just for the buttery smoothness in the operating system. and you technically could get 144 fps on light esports titles like csgo and league of legends. Again, at $600, I think this is good bang for your buck. Hopefully they come out with a $700 gtx 1050ti version and that would probably be the best entry level gaming laptop of 2018.

hey rich , most of the video is true , however i have to mention that running memory in single channel instead of duel channel makes virtually no difference in gaming . Its just that when your building your own system its generally easyer and cheaper to buy duel kits of memory. If your using an APU so the gpu is having to access your ram for video memory , duel channel does see nice gains.

+Lord Ba'al All they checked was if it actually provided power, if the power was stable and if the over current protection works. Vor 5 Tage

+Lord Ba'al I gave you actual reasons on why I doubt the long-term reliability of the PC and I'm nit-picking? Great-wall manufactures PSUs for other companies to those companies specs. Their own PSUs will have different (much cheaper) quality checks and component selection, which greatly effects the reliability for the PSU. That motherboard is objectively bad so I don't know what to tell you on that one.

I had a friend who bought a gaming PC through Walmart, which seemed like a good idea since it was a cyberpower brand. But it turned out to be a lemon. Idk how many times I've came over and replaced every componet in the damn thing and it still either burns itself out or the motherboard gets fried. He's sent it in through the warrenty and they never really fix anything, takes 2-3 months to get it back and it still has it's problems. I gave it sweet justice with a hammer. Never buy tech from walmart ever!

i dont know about but i have heard that putting a cheap power supply in a pc can be bad because it can risk blowing something because cheap power supplies rate their wattage as being peak where as a good power supply will rate their wattage as continuous and if they really care they will even have a higher peak wattage rating too so it may be like a 500 watt model will be 500 continuous with 600 peak for example. having loose connectors like that arcing can happen that can cause surges and even possible fire and melting connector
