I'm looking to build on fairly restrictive budget, but also live in a tinyhome kind of place. So I'm looking to go cheap and small. I know the x370 chipset has been replaced by the x470, but does anyone have experience with the Biostar x370GTN Racing? It's the cheapest m-ITX board I can get in Canada, and the manufacturer is apparently well regarded in Asia, but is it worth buying on a very slim budget? I would be looking to pair it with a 2600 or 2600X (probably when ebay prices drop after Zen 2 drops LUL), and an rx580. This will be my first build.

I would like to see a more detailed bios review aswell. What i was missing on my mobo is P-states overclocking. I dont like it that my cpu is running 1,5ghz in idle with 1, 25v. The thing was before bios updates my cpu wad running in idle 0,77v but msi kinda killed it.

For those who asks if it's ok to buy current am4 boards while AMD will release a 3000 series CPUs by next year in doubt of new socket, AMD has given a statement since the launch of the Zen architecture that all of the CPUs they make will support AM4 until 2020. Unless they pull an Intel move that changes their socket per generation.

Is that the way how to review a motherboard..!! Is overclocking and cooling are everything..!! We all know the high end motherboards are x470..each motherboard has features are different on others..each consumer will pick which more suitable for his needs, Asus, Gigabyte, Asrock, MSI, all of them are great, for me I will go with asus even if the price is a bit higher, because I know why asus has that high price for..

It did states in the title that this is a review for the X470 and B450 mobo. If we're talking about mobo, if you're not oc, then choose the A320 lines, or the lesser B450/B350 line up. Plus, if you're not overclocking, why whould you buy a 2600X or 2700X?

Vor 6 Tage

Well all of them basically have the same stuff so the only real difference would be overclocking performance, I/O, looks and maybe quality.

One simple question ( for you @Gamers Nexus ) ... I am ready to get a Motherboard for the Ryzen 5 2600X. In the future ( maybe a Year, Year and a half ) i would like to have the capability to upgrade with a Ryzen 7 2700X ( according to price drop). I was looking for the, Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming or the Asus Rog Strix B450-F Gaming, because i like and need the USB 3.1 GEN 2 type A, and C, the DisplayPort and the better audio ALC 1220 chipset. I dont care much for OC ... maybe some mediocore OC in the later future ... I live in Greece with 30+ C in Summer. Am I gonna get toasted or this 2 mobos can handle the heat ... My next choice as i understand from the video (at the same price point here ) is the MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC. What do you thing ? X470 Gigabyte or B450 MSI ?

So if I want to buy 2600x and MSI b450 pro carbon is out of stock. What mobo should I get? I'm not gonna manually OC just gonna use PBO and some tweaks on it so I think MSI mobos aren't good for me, Right? Gigabyte has the best warranty in my country so should I go for something like Gigabyte B450 AORUS PRO WIFI? Will it be good for me? I'm just gonna gaming, some streaming, and video editing. should I get different CPU? Lots of questions with too many answers don't know what should I do anymore.

I got the A7H because during BF newegg had a deal for buying it with a $15 discount plus a reduced price to $230. It ended up coming out to $409 for the bundle price with a 2600x while the Gaming 7 (my original choice) was going to be $420 total. I do appreciate the preset memory timings for overclocking the DRAM on the crosshair and now it's 1.0.0.6 so even better. My plan was really what I'd want for future proof with zen2.

Yeah but I won't buy anything Gigabyte makes no matter how good it is. You see Gigabyte refused to honor it's warranty on my current MOTHERBOARD. They told me to "send in the laptop for repair." (lol) I even offered to let them have a deposit on a new one, if they don't trust me to know I didn't break the bad one, so I could replace it and then send in the old one and let them determine the problem and if it was them, then reimburse me. But "Chuck" (a Chinaman), the boss there, wouldn't even do that! So since I can't count on Gigabyte to honor their warranty, I won't buy *ANYTHING* Gigabyte makes, no matter how "good' it is.

when they have wifi they usually also come with Bluetooth and that can be a nice feature if you have wireless headphones or game controller and also your cell phone. Some of the wifi boards like b450 mis carbon AC or the gigabyte 450 pro wifi also come with the better ALC1220 audio but check because not all have that upgrade.

I don't care about overclocking.. it's pointless to me... I feel that is the reason i am buying a high end cpu ... so i don't have to overclock it... therefore.. i am more concerned with which mobo is able to run the high end AMD cpu's the best and also gives me the most or best complimenting other features.  I like a stable system..  I want it to be able to run 24/7 day in day out and never be shut down, I want a system I can hook up ten to 14 hard drives (I have a boatload of video on HD), I can load a lot of memory, and.. if i feel like it I can play a game on.  I want to be able to watch my shows, transfer files well, network well with my other computers in my home,  I hook up my computer to my 65" tv and use it from across the room with wireless mouse & keyboard.  I don't know which is the best mobo for me, but I've built in the past using Gigabyte and they've served me well in the past.  I wish this video was more suited to people like me who don't care about overclocking.. and just want to know which is the best mobo for a 8 or more core cpu.  Also knowing which other attributes might be good or prove more valuable to me in my situation.   If someone else has an opinion, i'll gladly accept it, thanks for your time.

Vor 19 Tage
Rigó János

Kinda a late reply, but. If you don't plan on overclocking then you really only need to look for features you want on your mobo, which is all neatly displayed on the manufacturer's website. For what you want you just need to find a semi-cheap mobo that has a lot of I/O and sata ports. Really today any ATX mobo has a lot of both, just don't buy some no-name brand one.

Have been using the Crosshair VII Hero since the day after the 2700x release, from the various bits and pieces I've picked up about other equivalent motherboards it was absolutely the best choice to have made at the time given certain motherboards that shall go unmentioned actually shipped on launch with certain overclocking functionality missing from the BIOS and it took some weeks (if not months in some cases) for those things to be introduced through BIOS updates.... for example one high profile vendor actually shipped their initial X470 boards without the proper ability to adjust SOC voltages... which for a Ryzen motherboard is the pretty much a cardinal sin. Whilst with the CH7, everything was there even on the 'day 1' BIOS revision shipped on launch, it allowed for stable higher end overclocks with no headaches and no waiting around for the vendor to actually add missing functionality in. Plus ASUS seem to have done a pretty good job providing updated BIOS revisions at a regular pace, which I quite like especially when a large focus for many of the updates have been focused around improved memory stability and wider range of compatibility.

I don't understand why for example MSI Gaming plus B450m is bad. Not because I'm from MSI, but because I was aiming that motherboard. Uuuum - yeah. More specific: it's not like I don't understand from this clip - I don't know why :S Uuuum - yeah. Sadly there is no information why other specific motherboards (in short form) are bad :/ Uuuum - yeah. And are other motherboards trash even for 6, or 4 cores OC'ed processor :S Ummmm- YEAH!

We know in a pure gaming rig intel is still the best option. and regarding amd the answer to a lot a question is "it depends". It would be nice if you guys did a video laying out the info for people (like me) who want to upgrade their basically gaming only build but at the same time show intel the middle finger. is the 2700(x) worth over the 2600(x), is worth to oc all cores or leave PBO in charge of everything, in case of letting pbo do its thing, is a good b450 enough for the 2700x?
